Chrissie McClelland: Chrissie McClelland

I qualified as a hairdresser many years ago and always kept my hand in just to keep my skills but took on a stressful Civil Service job too but had to retire in my early 30’s. I then got divorced and wanted to return to work but needed stress free job that I could do around my children so decided to use my skills and set up as a mobile hairdresser.

Support from the Women’s Business Development Agency

Chrissie McClelland set up her own mobile hairdressing business with the help from WBDAI really needed some help with my finances and also how to plan the business. I was recommended the Women’s Business Development Agency by Working Links so got in touch and they booked me in for a face-to-face appointment with my Enterprise Coach, Michelle Grindley.

Michelle provided excellent support from start to finish – I could not have asked for more! She helped me find funding for essential start-up costs and helped me to realise that my business idea had real potential. I am now a happier and more confident person!

About Chrissie McClelland
