LYNN COOPER IIHHT ICHT FHT
Where do I start? Well I was born Lynn-Marie Gallagher on December 7th 1964 to two very proud Scottish parents Mary and Jim Gallagher. Simply the Best! In addition, it is their love and strength that has made me who I am today.
I guess it was when I lost my Mum and Dad that I started to look at life and wonder what was it all about, because we were and still are a very close family. I am also a very positive, honest, optimistic, happy, reliable and hard working woman.
My Dad died in 1992 of a heart attack, he developed diabetes later in life and of course with having angina his heart was weakened, Dad also had a very sweet tooth and would not listen to any one and I do not think he realised how ill he really was. It was very hard loosing Dad…he was and still is my Hero x.
In 1996, my marriage of 15 years ended and six weeks later my Mum died, that was the biggest turning point in my life, one minute I had everything then the next, like the throw of a dice it felt like I had nothing.
Suddenly there I was with three children no husband and my best friend my Mum had gone. How did I cope?
First, I did a lot of crying and grieving and took one day at a time; I also have very good friends that helped me through that difficult time in my life. Then I got a little part time morning job during school time so I was always there for my children before and after school.
Then a leaflet came through my letterbox advertising different courses on the OCN. First, I decided to learn a basic computer course and whilst I was doing this, I read all about reflexology and decided to learn that too. I then studied aromatherapy and Dr Bach flower remedies, I decided I would love to do this as a full time job, so I went onto college to do it full time over two years. Every thing I went through in the past made sense studying Holistic therapy, stress management and nutrition – how the body has the ability to heal itself, and of course with all the different complimentary treatments available, to help reduce stress.
After leaving college, I did a lot of market research and a business course through Business Link. I have leaflets and business cards printed up by Rayfount printers in Earlsdon and also help from the Women’s Business Development Agency.
I have now started my own Holistic Health Care business, offering treatments of Stress Management, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Hopi-ear Candles, Therapeutic and advanced body massage and holistic facial. All of these treatments help reduce stress, help to calm the mind, body and soul, and of course are very relaxing.
In addition, these treatments can help to ease the onset of stress related illnesses before any major problems occur. Everyone young and old, male and female can benefit from any of these treatments.
I practice in Coventry Sports & Leisure Centre, Holistic Health Care, The Wellness Suite, Fairfax Street, Coventry, CV1 5RY. Freefone 0800 111 6886.
