WBDA's Networking Event

WBDA's Networking Event - 22nd October 2008

The Women's Business Development Agency put on a fantastic networking event on the 22nd October 2008 at the Coventry Univeristy Techno Park, which was aimed at women thinking about starting their own business and for existing women-owned businesses.

The evening kicked off with a inspirational speech by WBDA's director, Sally Arkley, followed by John Sealey 'The Courageous Marketeer', sharing winning low cost and no cost marketing ideas that you could put to work the very next day!

The attendees learnt how two successful entrepreneurs, Teresa Richards from Tco Deli and Becki Coombe from the Learn2Group, overcame challenges and barriers in starting up their own business - plus they shared their 3 top tips to starting and growing a business.

And.... there was more!!

 We had different support organisations, such as the National B2B Centre, Burrows Scarborough Accountants, Yorkshire Bank, and Central Vision there to provide valuable advice and information. And a few of our clients got the chance to have a stall on the evening to selling their products!

And of course, there was lots of networking throughout the whole evening.

We felt that our networking event was a huge success and we thank everyone who came to support us!
