The West Midlands Women’s Business Centre (WMWBC) has been developed by a collaboration of Flagship business support organisations in the West Midlands; led by the Women’s Business Development Agency (WBDA) and the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Expertise (WECOE)
The online facility is the first of the national women’s business centres, announced in the government’s Enterprise Strategy, to be launched. The Women’s Business Centre is designed to encourage more women to think about enterprise, access business support and take advantage of online training and mentoring to grow their businesses.
The WMWBC offers the most comprehensive women-friendly business service in the UK offering free access to a range of services, networks and local business support information. It also offers a library of fact sheets, case studies, research, newsletters and other business support tools such as business plan templates, market research questionnaires, cash flow forecasting etc.
In recognition of the fact that women generally are able to share problems and network effectively, the WMWBC provides a series of online forums which are utilised to the full by business women in the West Midlands.
The active online community is helping female business owners to make contact with each other, offer mutual support and advice as well as share opportunities. .
